Keep Your Resolve

The new year offers us an opportunity to redefine ourselves and our goals.  Unfortunately, all too often our resolutions don't last past the first few weeks of the year.

Real change is hard to accomplish because most behavior is based on habit, and habit is stored in the unconscious. 

In order to permanently change your habits for the better, it is necessary to uproot your deep unconscious tendencies.  The easiest method is to go into meditation and communicate to your deep self the behaviors you want to make manifest.

Through practicing yoga you learn to control your muscles, control your breath, and control your mental movements.  You learn how to relax and quiet  your mind so you can focus on one thing at a time.

When you can acheive mental and physical relaxation on command, you can go within and make gentle suggestions to yourself that will counteract your old bad habits.  These suggestions are many times more powerful than relying on willpower alone.

When your mind is well-trained in yoga it is easy to improve your habits order to manifest your highest vision for your life as a whole.
